The Kollmorgen digifas 7108 is a standard servo amplifier, part of the digifas 7100 series, designed to monitor and control AC servo motors of the 6SM series. The unit incorporates an analog speed set point and an incremental encoder to accurately determine the output shaft's position. It operates at a 3-phase input voltage of 80 – 400 VAC, a rated voltage frequency of 50/60 Hz, and runs at a rated current of 8 Arms, dissipating a continuous power of 100W. Equipped with internal and external ballast circuits of 200W and 2000W, it protects against high voltage effects and can deliver pulse power up to 6.9 kW. Suitable for working with a brushless synchronous servo motor with a minimum of 5 mH inductance, it offers speed and torque control mode. The amplifier weighs 7.9 kg, operates up to an altitude of 1000 m/sea level and withstands a maximum ambient temperature of +45 degree Celsius. It features IP20 protection and optional key and LCD unit.
