The E4809-770-032 relay board, manufactured by Okuma, is specifically designed for use with Okuma Cadet's two primary types of Amp Control Boards: V6 (PCB) or V5.3 (PCB). This module enables the connection of multiple components to a single communication port of host devices such as computers or laptops. Enclosed within an electrically isolated case or an OEM circuit board, the board employs a CSMA/CD (Carrier Sense Multiple Access) protocol strategy that monitors the module for inactivity before data acquisition (DAQ) starts. It features a Multiple Access (MA) design, allowing equal opportunity for all DAQ modules in a platform to transmit data when the board is not occupied. The board uses collision detection (CD) to ensure data frame reliability when multiple DAQ modules attempt simultaneous transmission, eliminating communications delay during collisions. The unit also allows command transmission to specific DAQ modules via header character addressing for efficient unit routing.
