The EK1122 EtherCAT Junction is a product developed by automation systems leader Beckhoff. Renowned for its effectiveness, reliability, and simplicity, this junction uses Ethernet 100Base-TX (min. CAT5) with two RJ45 bus connections for transmission. Weighing approximately 70g with dimensions of 26mm x 100mm x 52mm, this durable unit operates efficiently within an ambient temperature of -25°C to 85°C. Enabled for a variety of topologies, including star, line and tree, its power supply comes from the E-bus, consuming only 220mA of current. The EK1122 offers vibration resistance conforming to EN 60068-2-6 and EMC immunity that aligns with EN 61000-6-2. Furthermore, the unit has an IP20 protection class to safeguard against dust or water. Installation is flexible with its ability to secure onto any 35mm mounting rail, promising adaptability within various industrial environments.
