The Beckhoff EK1814 is a compact EtherCAT coupler that features four standard digital inputs and outputs. As part of the EK1800 series, it's designed to efficiently connect EL series EtherCAT terminals with a 100BASE-TX EtherCAT network. The unit features a tool-free 1-wire technique for wiring arrangement and can support various load types, including lamp, inductive, and ohmic. Notably, this device must be configured as a Direct mode device under the TwinCAT system manager's Devices node. The coupler flaunts two RJ45 bus interfaces, capable of connecting with other EtherCAT devices, with a maximum allowed cable length of 100m between two bus couplers. Its conductor connection is spring-actuated, requiring a simple screwdriver for operation. In terms of safety standards, it adheres to EN 60715 for the 35mm mounting rail and avoids contact with insulating materials. This CE and UL certified device, offering a short circuit current rating less than 2A, promises shipment anywhere globally via our established delivery partners.
