The EK1818-0000 from Beckhoff features two RJ45 interfaces and supports 100 Mbit/s transfer. Part of the EK EtherCAT Coupler Series, it links up to 65,534 terminals via shielded Cat.5 Ethernet/EtherCAT cable. This coupler offers eight digital inputs and four digital outputs and includes automatic EtherCAT detection.

It draws 100 mA on the system bus plus E-bus current and 40 mA on the upstream bus while supplying 24 V DC at 1000 mA. Max station distance is 100 m. Operating temperature range is -25 to 60 °C.
