The Beckhoff EK1960 Compact Controller is a highly efficient device featuring 20 safe digital inputs and 24 safe digital outputs. Capable of functioning independently or alongside other controllers via an EtherCAT connector, the EK1960 can be easily expanded using the EL/ES terminals. This versatile unit comes standard with an EtherCAT RJ45, optional M8, three address selectors, and both Us and Up ports. It boasts a cycle time of approximately 1ms, though this may fluctuate depending on system size. The fault response time is parameterizable and is intended to match or surpass the watchdog time. This horizontal-installation controller has a protection class of IP20 and can process analog signals at 16 or 32-bit pulse in signed or unsigned format. Integrated TwinSAFE SC technology ensures the secure transmission of data. This controller is part of a modular I/O terminal system that allows uninterrupted tracing of fieldbus protocol directly to the terminal, excluding the need for an independent terminal bus.
