The Beckhoff EK9160 coupler from the EK EtherCAT Couplers series bridges Beckhoff Bus Terminals and Ethernet-based IoT networks with support for Ethernet (IoT, MQTT, OPC UA, AMQP, HTTPS, REST) protocols. It features a data transmission rate of 10/100 Mbit/s, operates on a 24 V DC (-15%/+20%) power supply, and has a typical electronics current consumption of 140 mA plus max. 10 A on power contacts. The device mounts on DIN rail, measures 44 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm, and delivers IP20 protection. Integration is via the K-bus interface, and dual 2 x RJ45 (switched) ports enable daisy chaining. Rated for operating temperatures from 0–55 °C, the EK9160 provides secure, efficient cloud connectivity and system flexibility for demanding industrial automation applications.
