The Beckhoff EL1098 terminal from the EL EtherCAT Terminals series is an eight-channel digital input module by Beckhoff. It features 8 inputs, operates at 24 V DC (-15%/+20%) nominal voltage, uses 1-wire connection technology, consumes typically 90 mA via the EtherCAT E-bus and 25 mA on power contacts, and provides a fast 10 μs input filter and 10 μs reaction time for rapid signal acquisition. Ground-switching voltage ranges from 18 to 30 V DC for logic 0 and 0 to 7 V DC for logic 1, with an input current of 3 mA. Rated for IP20 protection, it operates between 0 to 55 °C and can be stored from -25 to +85 °C, and carries approvals including CE, CCC, UL, ATEX, IECEx, and DNV GL.
