EL1502-0000
The Beckhoff EL1502-0000 is a high-performance EtherCAT terminal in the EL EtherCAT Terminals series by Beckhoff designed for precision counting applications. Boasting a maximum counting frequency of 100 kHz and a 32 bit counter depth, this terminal delivers fast, accurate event capture for demanding automation tasks. With support for distributed clocks, it ensures synchronized operation across multi-axis systems, making it ideal for high-speed conveyor monitoring, pulse counting and indexing operations.
Built around a robust electronics design, the EL1502-0000 operates at a nominal voltage of 24 V DC (-15%/+20%), drawing a typical E-bus current consumption of 130 mA and an additional power contact consumption of 14 mA plus load. Signal inputs accommodate both –3 to +5 V (EN 61131-2, type 1) and 15 to 30 V (EN 61131-2, type 1) ranges, with an input current of 5 mA per channel. The device supports one or two counters, each capable of outputting a max. 24 V/0.5 A (short-circuit proof) signal, and includes special features for setting counters and switching outputs.
Engineered for industrial resilience, the EL1502-0000 conforms to vibration and shock resistance standards EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27, and withstands temperatures from –25 to +60 °C (operation) and –40 to +85 °C (storage). Its EMC immunity meets EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4 for interference-prone environments. Weighing approximately 50 g, it mounts seamlessly in standard control cabinets and connects via pluggable terminals compatible with all ESxxxx EtherCAT modules.
