The Beckhoff EL1819 digital input terminal is part of the EL EtherCAT Terminals series, designed for high-performance signal acquisition in industrial automation. With 16 input channels and a nominal voltage of 24 V DC (-15%/+20%), this compact module provides reliable interfacing between field devices and EtherCAT networks. Featuring a housing width of just 12 mm, the EL1819 enables space-efficient installation in control cabinets while maintaining robust connectivity through proven 1-wire connection technology.
The EL1819 offers precise signal processing with an input filter time of typ. 10 μs and a typical input current of 3 mA (EN 61131-2, type 3) per channel. It supports both logic “0” (-3…+5 V) and “1” (11…30 V) signal voltage ranges in compliance with EN 61131-2, types 1 and 3. The module’s power contacts accommodate a max. current load of 10 A, ensuring uninterrupted power distribution in demanding applications. Approved under CE, CCC, UL, ATEX, and IECEx standards, the EL1819 meets international requirements for safety and performance in hazardous and industrial environments.
Engineered for durability, the EL1819 operates reliably from -25…+60 °C and withstands storage temperatures from -40…+85 °C. Its IP20 protection rating guards against solid objects and supports variable mounting positions. Weighing approximately 65 g, the terminal minimizes added mass on the EtherCAT bus without compromising robustness.
