The Beckhoff EL2008 from the EL EtherCAT Terminals series is an EtherCAT Terminal designed for industrial automation, featuring 1-wire connection technology and providing 8 output channels with a nominal voltage of 24 V DC (-15%/+20%). Each channel supports up to 0.5 A output current, is short-circuit protected with a typical short-circuit current below 2 A, and includes reverse voltage protection. The terminal exhibits breaking energy under 150 mJ/channel and switching times of typ. Ton: 60 µs, Toff: 300 µs, while consuming typ. 110 mA on the E-bus and typ. 15 mA on the power contacts plus load. With 500 V isolation between E-bus and field, vibration and shock resistance per EN 60068-2, and weighing approximately 55 g, it ensures reliable and safe operation in demanding environments.
