EL3356-0000
The Beckhoff EL3356-0000 EtherCAT terminal, part of the EL EtherCAT Terminals series, provides high-precision measurement of full-bridge sensors in industrial automation. It features two inputs for a resistor bridge in full bridge technology and supports a measuring range Ud of ±27 mV. The module delivers a resolution of 16 bit with 32 bit presentation, ensuring clear and accurate data output. Its primary function is to measure load cells and strain gauges with automated calibration and dynamic filtering for reliable operation in harsh environments.
This terminal offers a versatile conversion rate of 100–4 samples/s (10–250 ms conversion time) and an input filter limit frequency of 10 kHz low pass (-3 dB) to suppress noise. The internal resistances exceed 1 MΩ (UD) and 200 kΩ (Uref), minimizing sensor loading effects. It supports a measuring range Uref of ±13.8 V for bridge supply and maintains a measurement error/uncertainty of ±0.01% for calculated load values. Unique features such as self-calibration, quadruple average, and dynamic filters enhance measurement stability and adaptability to changing conditions.
Powered directly via the E-bus with a typical current consumption of 210 mA and additional power contacts up to 12 V DC for sensor supply, the EL3356-0000 operates within 0…+55°C (storage: –25…+85°C). It supports a nominal sensitivity resolution of 0.01 μV/V (recommended 0.5–4 mV/V) to accommodate a range of sensors. Compliant with Beckhoff’s industrial standards, it ensures long-term durability and efficient performance. The advanced filtering and calibration reduce downtime and manual recalibration, making this terminal an invaluable component for precision measurement tasks in industrial automation systems.
