The EL5042 is a 2-channel encoder interface terminal from Beckhoff’s EL EtherCAT Terminals series, offering 64-bit position resolution and supporting 5 V or 9 V DC encoder operating voltage. Equipped with distributed clocks, adjustable baud rates and adjustable data lengths, it delivers up to 10 MHz data transfer. With a weight of 50 g, it operates at 0…+50 °C and consumes only 150 mA via 24 V DC.
