The EL5152 terminal from Beckhoff, part of the EL EtherCAT Terminals series, provides precise encoder signal processing. It features two encoder channels, 1/256 bit microincrement resolution and a maximum count rate of 400,000 increments/s. The module supports 4-fold quadrature decoding, operates on 24 V DC nominal voltage and draws typically 130 mA from the EtherCAT bus. It supports reliable operation from -25 to +60 C ambient temperature.
