The EL5152-0000 from Beckhoff features dual encoder channels and weighs approx. 50 g. Part of the EL EtherCAT Terminals, it supports a limit frequency of 400,000 increments/s and 1/256-bit resolution. The terminal draws about 130 mA from the E-bus and uses a 24 V DC supply.

It offers two 16/32-bit up/down counters and 4-fold quadrature decoding. Operating range is -25 to +60 °C, with storage to +85 °C. Its IP20 enclosure mounts flexibly on 35 mm DIN rails.
