The Beckhoff EL6201 is an AS-Interface master terminal that provides a direct connection to AS-Interface slaves, either digital or analog. It's a cost-effective solution popular in factories for efficient networking of binary sensors and actuators. The assembly utilizes a piercing technology method using a two-core AS-i cable with reversal polarity protection. Noteworthy advantages include uncomplicated connection method, data and energy transfer via single cable, and easy contacting. This AS-i cable does not require insulation stripping or cutting. The EL6201 features two status LEDs, the Run and Power LED. It’s available in V 2.0, V 2.11, and V 3.0 versions with the capacity to accommodate 31 to 62 slaves depending on the version. Electrical isolation is 500V, with the supply voltage for electronics via E-bus. With an operating temperature of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, it weighs around 55g and measures 15mm x 100mm x 70mm.
