The Beckhoff EL6720 is a versatile Lightbus Master Terminal engineered to connect Lightbus devices to a Lightbus network. Displaying similar performance attributes to the Beckhoff FC2001 Lightbus PCI card, it provides seamless integration of all Lightbus slaves into the EtherCAT Terminal network. The terminal features status LEDs for real-time system monitoring and supports an unlimited number of networked EL6720 devices. Its robust protocol implementation offers fast cycle times, synchronous data processing, and a high-performance parameter and diagnostics interface. The terminal also requires a supply voltage via the E-bus and utilizes the TwinCAT system manager for configuration. In compliance with IP20 protection standards, the compact EL6720 measures 26mm x 100mm x 52mm and weighs approximately 70g. The terminal operates efficiently in temperatures ranging from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius and offers CE, ATEX, and cULus approvals.
