The Beckhoff EL6851 is a DMX master terminal proficient at connecting up to 32 devices seamlessly, thereby eliminating the need for a repeater. This DMX terminal harnesses RS485 physics, capacitating it to connect a terminal resistor through a two-wire jumper setup. With the EL6851, data transmission of up to 512 bytes is possible, ultimately reaching a data rate of 44 kHz at 250 kbit/s. The terminal also supports the Remote Device Management (RDM) feature for efficient device parameterization and addressing. It is equipped with LEDs for Run, TxD, and RxD, in addition to DMX connection, termination power contact and GND power contacts. Operating within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, the EL6851 ensures high interference immunity owing to the electrical isolation of the RS485. Compact in size and light in weight, the terminal measures 15mm x 100mm x 70mm and weighs approximately 55g.
