The Beckhoff EL6930-0000 terminal from the EL EtherCAT Terminals series serves as a link unit between safe input and output signals, providing SIL 3 and Category 4 PL e compliance for critical safety applications. Its compact polycarbonate housing with signal LEDs measures 12×100×68 mm and mounts horizontally on a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 60715). The unit consumes typ. 188 mA on the E-bus and supports TwinSAFE/Safety over EtherCAT and PROFIsafe protocols. Designed for cable cross-sections from 0.08–2.5 mm² (solid/stranded) and 0.14–1.5 mm² (fine-stranded), it features IP20 protection and a fault response time ≤ watchdog time (parameterizable).
