The EL7031 EtherCAT Terminal, produced by Beckhoff, functions to directly connect a variety of compact, two-phase small stepper motors. Users can easily adjust the EL7031 to fit specific motors and applications by modifying a handful of parameters. It operates noiselessly due to its 64-fold micro-stepping capability. Weighing around 50 grams and having a current control frequency of about 25 kHz, it adheres to the EN 60068-2-6/EN 600068-2-27 shock resistance parameters and holds CE and UL certifications. The terminal supports a resolution of approximately 5000 positions, has a typical E-bus current consumption of 120mA and provides electrical isolation of 500V between the E-bus and field potential. The EL7031 utilizes 3 spring-loaded power contacts with distinct voltages and employs a Cage Clamp wiring system with an 8-9mm stripping length. It is classified under installation position IP 20 as specified in its documentation.
