The BECKHOFF EL7201-9014 is an EtherCAT Servomotor terminal, engineered for controlling 3-phase synchronous motors. This one-channel device includes connections for motor brake output, motor feedback input, STO input, and end position input. Connection to the motor can be made via an OCT (one cable technology) cable, but only for OCT supporting motors. This servomotor terminal typically provides up to 2.8 amperes of current, but with an additional fan module for cooling, can supply up to 4.5 amperes. The EL7201-9014 operates with a 16 Hz PWM clock and a current controller frequency of 32 kHz. It's significantly compact at 12 millimeters wide and weighs around 60 grams. This model provides a 24 VDC voltage and a maximum current of 0.5 A for motor brakes. It includes safety features such as software-supported STO and SS1, and system monitoring for added reliability.
