The EL7342, as part of Beckhoff's EL7 series, is an EtherCAT terminal that provides high-quality automation technology. This compact terminal supports a load type of inductive DC brush motor. It employs one output and two input channels. This output can deliver up to 3.5 A per channel with a DC supply voltage ranging between 8V and 48V. Similarly, it can achieve enhanced performance with an external ZB8610 fan cartridge. The EL7342 is notable for its encoder and travel distance controller features. With an electrical insulation of 500V and a maximum input frequency of 400,000 increments/s (with 4-fold evaluation), it represents a robust, efficient solution for industrial needs. This 90g unit has IP 20 protection and complies with EN 61000-6-4 emissions and EN 61000-6-2 immunity standards. Furthermore, it features short-circuit and overload protections and has status LEDs for quick diagnostics. Its maximum operational and storage temperatures are 55°C and 85°C, respectively. Additional components like shield busbars and clamps can be fitted, and it holds CE and UL certifications.
