The EP1816-3008 EtherCAT Box module from Beckhoff’s EP Digital Input Modules series combines precision digital I/O with rugged design. It provides 16 digital PNP outputs at 24 V DC with 0.5 A per channel, features channel diagnostics, distributed clocks, and short-circuit protection for reliable performance. The module is housed in a die-cast zinc enclosure rated IP67, uses M8 screw-type connectors, and draws 120 mA from the 24 V DC supply with –15 %/+20 % tolerance. It operates from –25 °C to +60 °C and includes integrated accelerometers for vibration and tilt monitoring.
