The EP2316-0008 from Beckhoff offers 8 digital inputs and 8 digital outputs. Part of the EP Digital Input Modules, it uses EtherCAT and accepts 24 V DC. This compact module (30 x 126 x 26.5 mm) provides up to 0.5 A per channel.
It connects via a 25-pin D-sub and dual M8 ports with 500 V isolation. A 10 μs filter ensures noise suppression and EN 61131-2 compliance. The module draws 120 mA nominal current from a 24 V DC supply.
