The EP6001-0002 from Beckhoff features selectable interfaces (RS232, RS485, RS422) and supports baud rates from 300 to 115,200. Part of the EP Digital Input Modules, it allows cable runs up to 1000 m for RS422/RS485 and offers IP65 to IP67 protection. The module has 2 digital channels and full duplex TxD/RxD communication for dependable operation.

With an 864-byte receive buffer and 128-byte transmit buffer, it manages intermittent disruptions. DIN rail or surface mounting with M8 connectors eases installation. An EtherCAT protocol ensures real-time data synchronization.
