HDS02.2-W040N-HA
The HDS02.2-W040N-HA is a drive controller manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HDS Drive Controllers series. Designed for cabinet installation, the device forms part of a shared-drive architecture in which several controllers operate from a common DC bus. Within that arrangement, it works with a separate supply module and neighboring axis units rather than as a standalone inverter. Its primary role in industrial automation is to translate motion setpoints from numerical controls or PLCs into regulated three-phase output that drives servo or main-spindle motors. By governing current, velocity, and position loops, the unit supports coordinated axis movement in machining centers, material-handling cells, and assembly lines.
This controller accepts command variables through an analog interface, allowing conventional ±10 V speed or torque references to be wired directly from legacy or modern PLC hardware. That setup is useful in systems that still rely on voltage-based control signals instead of digital fieldbus communication. Membership in the DIAX04 family means it fits mechanically and electrically beside other modules that share the same bus rail in a multi-axis system. Thermal management is provided by a built-in air blower; the fan draws air through the heat sink so no external ducting is required when cabinet space is limited. The controller has a continuous output capability of 40 A under rated ambient conditions. The unit is part of Line 02.
The controller is Version 2. This revision status distinguishes it from earlier releases in the same line and helps identify the correct product revision for the assembly. It is used with HVR power supplies and matching motor feedback cables in the same platform. This arrangement supports consistent electrical integration across multi-axis installations.
