HDS03.1-W075N-HS25-01-FW
The HDS03.1-W075N-HS25-01-FW is a modular drive controller from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the HDS Drive Controllers series. It is intended for multi-axis industrial automation in systems where a central CNC or PLC coordinates motion across several axes. Within the machine, the controller regulates power to servomotors and closes the current and velocity loops needed for accurate movement. Its modular format also supports scalable machine layouts by allowing additional drive modules to be added for more axes when the rack design requires expanded motion capacity.
Real-time communication is handled through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, which provides deterministic exchange of setpoints and status data between the controller and the higher-level control platform. A continuous output capability of 75 A supports medium-to-high power servo axes without requiring the unit to be treated as a low-power drive. As part of the DIAX04 platform, the controller uses standardized backplane connections, encoder supply, and shared DC bus links inside the rack. Thermal management is provided by a built-in air blower that moves air through the heat sink, so no external ducting is required for normal cooling operation.
The unit is part of Line 03 and is built as Version 1. In a motion system, it acts as an axis-specific current regulator while still participating in bus-level diagnostics, which helps the control system track operating status across the rack. It can operate alongside matching axes on the same DC link, allowing regenerated energy from decelerating motion to remain available within the drive system. This operating role makes the controller suitable for coordinated servo applications that require stable current control, synchronized communication, and consistent integration with other modules in the same rack.
