HDS03.1-W100N-HS22-01-FW
The HDS03.1-W100N-HS22-01-FW is a drive controller engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the HDS Drive Controllers series. It is installed in DIAX modular racks to condition and switch three-phase power for servo and spindle drives, allowing a machine PLC to coordinate synchronized motion across multiple axes in industrial automation cells. In this role, the unit converts rack power into controlled motor current for axes that must start, stop, and reverse with repeatable timing. The rack-based layout also keeps the controller grouped with matching supply and interface modules in compact multi-axis systems.
This controller exchanges setpoint and feedback telegrams through the fiber-optic SERCOS interface, so communication can extend across large machinery without noticeable signal loss. A continuous output capability of 100 A allows it to energize medium-power motor modules while maintaining current headroom during acceleration and changing loads. Thermal management relies on a built-in air blower that moves cabinet air across the heat sink, so no external ducting is required. The unit is part of the DIAX04 platform, and it is in Line 03. This cooling arrangement supports enclosed cabinet installation when airflow through the rack is maintained.
The drive controller is Version 1 and can share a common DC bus with matching supply and regenerative modules in the same system. Motion control logic remains in the higher-level CNC or PLC, while this module handles the regulated power conversion needed by the connected axis. Because the unit serves as the rack power stage rather than the machine controller, program execution and axis coordination stay outside the module. That separation keeps the controller focused on current delivery, thermal performance, and real-time response for coordinated servo and spindle applications within the rack.
