The unit sits between a DC bus supply and the motor phases, converting stored energy into regulated three-phase output while monitoring feedback channels. This arrangement lets one supply section support several axes while each controller regulates the motor current for its assigned axis. I/O communication is handled through the SERCOS fiber-optic ring, giving deterministic cycle times and direct parameter access to the axis processor. The current stage is rated at 75 A, enabling the device to run medium-power motors without external boosters. Thermal dissipation is maintained by a built-in air blower that directs cabinet air across the heat sink to keep semiconductor junctions within their operating limit. Because cooling depends on moving cabinet air through the controller, clear airflow paths around the heat sink remain important during installation. As part of the DIAX04 platform, the controller shares a uniform backplane width and matching plug-in connectors with neighboring axes, which helps keep system layout consistent.
The housing follows Line 03 dimensions, so the unit occupies a single 300 mm slot beside companion power modules. The controller is Version 2. The single-slot format helps keep cabinet rows predictable when several axes are installed side by side. That housing size supports orderly row mounting in compatible enclosures, and the required rail spacing can be maintained without special brackets. Specified airflow gaps around the unit allow the cooling path to remain open when adjacent modules are installed.
