HDS03.2-W100N-HS
The HDS03.2-W100N-HS is a modular drive controller module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the HDS Drive Controllers series. It installs in multi-axis systems to regulate power to servo drives and coordinate axis motion in factory automation. By combining a power section, control logic, and communication hardware, the unit serves as the interface between the central motion processor and individual motors on a machine line. This layout keeps the drive electronics together in a centralized cabinet while supporting several controlled axes from one rack.
This controller exchanges real-time setpoint and status data over the SERCOS fiber-optic loop, allowing synchronized control with very short update times between the motion control and the drive. Motor power is delivered through bus bars that can carry up to 100 A of continuous output current, which suits medium-power servo axes used in packaging, printing, and handling equipment. Thermal management is handled by a built-in air blower that draws cabinet air through the heat sink, so external ducting is not required. The device belongs to the DIAX04 family, and it is part of Line 03 in the product range.
The hardware is released as Version 2. This release adds incremental encoder evaluation and revised fault logging compared with the initial release, giving the controller broader feedback handling and clearer event recording during operation. The added encoder handling allows the controller to process incremental feedback signals in applications that use conventional encoder devices. Field wiring follows the same terminal assignments used across the range, which keeps cabinet layouts uniform when the controller is installed with matching supply modules and neighboring axes. The module is used in modular multi-axis assemblies for packaging, printing, and handling equipment where several axes must respond to one coordinated control system.
