HDS03.2-W100N-HS08-01-FW
The HDS03.2-W100N-HS08-01-FW is a modular servo drive controller built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for applications that require rapid closed-loop control of synchronous and induction motors. It is part of the HDS Drive Controllers series and converts motion-control commands into regulated current for the connected drive section and motor. This allows the drive system to maintain stable torque, speed, and position during automated operation. It serves as the regulation stage between higher-level motion control and the motor power section, supporting repeatable response during speed and positioning tasks. Its modular format also supports use in multi-axis machines where drive sections are combined within a common platform.
Motion commands reach the controller through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface, which supports deterministic communication at 2, 4, or 8 Mbit/s while reducing susceptibility to electrical noise. Within the DIAX04 platform, the controller works with compatible supply and axis modules in coordinated drive assemblies. Thermal management is provided by a built-in air blower that moves cabinet air through the heat sink without external ducting. The unit is part of Line 03, and the power stage is rated for 100 A of continuous output current for medium-to-high torque motor applications. This cooling method supports continuous operation in enclosed cabinets when normal airflow clearance is provided around the module.
The controller is supplied in Version 2, which indicates the second revision of this model. It is associated with the 300 V DC bus group, matching systems designed around that bus structure. The unit also includes removable parameter memory that stores axis data so operating values remain available after power cycles. Stored parameter data can include axis-related operating values used by the control system, which helps preserve intended drive behavior when the unit is powered again. This arrangement keeps control data within the drive hardware and avoids the need for separate external storage for routine axis settings.
