HDS03.2-W100N-HS22-01-FW
The HDS03.2-W100N-HS22-01-FW drive controller is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the HDS Drive Controllers series. It converts energy from the DC bus into a three-phase output for compatible servo motors, allowing axes in assembly, packaging, and material-handling systems to follow commanded motion profiles. The controller processes motion instructions inside the drive so speed and torque can be regulated with repeatable response during automated operation. Because power conversion and regulation occur in the same housing, the unit can respond quickly to changing load conditions during continuous machine cycles.
In operation, the controller exchanges real-time position and velocity data through the SERCOS fiber-optic ring, permitting deterministic updates between the drive and a PLC. That communication path supports synchronized updates for position loops, velocity feedback, and command transfer across linked axes. Its power stage is rated for 100 A, which supports high-torque axes and demanding acceleration profiles. This current capacity helps the drive maintain commanded motor response during acceleration, deceleration, and load changes within the supported system range. Heat from the switching section is removed by a built-in air blower, which supports heat sink cooling without requiring an external fan assembly. The unit fits into the DIAX04 multi-axis rack and is part of Line 03, which uses the mechanical format and backplane layout assigned to that line.
The drive is Version 2. SERCOS telegram parameters are grouped in the communication settings, which keeps cyclic data mapping organized for position and velocity exchange during normal operation. Grouped interface settings also keep communication-related items together in one area of the parameter structure. Cooling service is centered on the internal fan path rather than an external heat sink, so airflow through the controller remains the main path for removing internal losses. The controller family assignment also indicates compatibility with axis cards that share the same platform architecture.
