HDS03.2-W100N-HS92-01-FW
The HDS03.2-W100N-HS92-01-FW drive controller is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the HDS Drive Controllers series. As a modular member of the DIAX04 motion platform, it mounts on a common backplane beside power supplies and adjacent drives, allowing compact installation in multi-axis cabinets. In automated machining centers, packaging lines, and material-handling stations, the unit converts real-time control commands into regulated three-phase output so each axis can maintain commanded velocity, torque, and position. It acts as the interface between a higher-level CNC or PLC and the electromechanical actuators on the machine. Because it is installed as a rack module rather than a standalone enclosure, it fits neatly into centralized drive systems.
Communication relies on the SERCOS optical ring, which supports synchronized data exchange for coordinated axis movement. Continuous axis current of 100 A lets the module energize medium-to-large servo channels under normal ambient conditions without immediate derating. Its thermal load is removed by a built-in air blower, so cabinet cooling can remain straightforward and does not require external ducting for the drive itself. The controller is part of the DIAX04 family, and inside the rack it carries Line 03. Common module placement across the platform also helps keep rack wiring orderly when several axes are installed side by side.
The unit is Version 2. It is intended for regenerative supplies and coordinated multi-axis operation within the same cabinet, which suits tightly integrated drive layouts. Status and setup access are available at the front of the module, allowing direct connection for diagnostics without disturbing the rack arrangement. The housing format matches adjacent units on the common backplane, which helps keep cable paths short in densely packed control cabinets. The front layout also keeps indicators and connectors visible during routine checks.
