The ICD05030A1TRC1, created by industry innovator Kollmorgen, is a Direct Drive Linear (DDL) Ironcore motor with a permanent magnet, frameless, and brushless design, minus the cogging, which ensures efficient operation. Its capabilities include high force density, high motor constant, and a peak force ranging between 165 and 1099N. Although maintenance-free as it uses no gears, lubrications, or screws, this motor offers enhanced machine reliability, decreases noise, and ensures quick power transmission without backlash. It has a reputation for low thermal losses, high resolution, precise positioning, and high peak acceleration. Its low profile and attraction force suits it as a replacement for ironless applications. This model, designed for manifold tasks like drilling, milling, and cam grinding, offers a peak force and continuous force of 550N and 171N, respectively. It also comes with thermal protection via a thermistor and a 400mm termination option.
