The Beckhoff IE2042 from the IE Extension Box Units series is an inductive proximity sensor offering a 4 mm sensing distance and operating on a 10...30 V DC supply voltage. Encased in stainless steel with IP67 protection, it withstands harsh industrial environments. Connectivity is provided by an M12 connector, while its 2 kHz switching frequency ensures rapid response. The sensor features PNP, NO output, reverse polarity and voltage protection, short-circuit protection, and functions reliably across an operating temperature range of -25 °C to +70 °C, making it ideal for demanding automation tasks.
