The Beckhoff KL1284 from the KL Analog Input Modules series by Beckhoff is a compact and reliable module designed for industrial automation control. Featuring 4 independent outputs and a nominal voltage of 24 V DC, this module provides stable power delivery within a tolerance of –15%/+20%. With 500 V electrical isolation between the K-bus and field potential, it safeguards connected devices against voltage fluctuations. The KL1284 is primarily intended for analog input and digital output applications, offering versatile connectivity for demanding industrial environments.
This module employs 2-/3-wire connection technology to interface with ohmic, inductive, and lamp loads. Each of the four output channels delivers up to 0.5 A of short-circuit-proof current, while the K-bus consumes typically 9 mA. Built-in reverse voltage protection and a short-circuit current limiter of less than 7 A ensure safe operation under fault conditions. Measuring just 12 mm in width, the KL1284 mounts neatly on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715 standards, using a double-slot and key system for secure side-by-side installation.
