The Beckhoff KL3464 Analog Input Module from the KL Analog Input Modules series is a high-performance device designed to interface 0–10 V analog signals with industrial automation systems. Manufactured by Beckhoff, this module features 4 single-ended input channels and a 12-bit resolution, delivering up to 4096 discrete levels for precise measurement. With a signal voltage range of 0–10 V and a measurement uncertainty of ±0.3% relative to full scale, the KL3464 ensures accurate data acquisition for monitoring and control applications.
For rapid signal processing, the module boasts a conversion time of approximately 2 ms per channel and an internal input resistance exceeding 130 kΩ, minimizing loading on signal sources. Each input channel is electrically isolated from the K-bus at 500 V isolation voltage, safeguarding the control system from interference. Data exchange with the bus coupler occurs over the K-bus, supplying power and carrying 4 × 16-bit process data (with optional 4 × 8-bit status words). Integrated status LEDs provide clear diagnostics and operational feedback, while current consumption on the K-bus remains a typical 100 mA.
Housed in a compact polycarbonate enclosure measuring 12 mm × 100 mm × 68 mm and weighing approximately 75 g, the KL3464 mounts securely on a 35 mm DIN rail in accordance with EN 60715. Approved to CE, CCC, UL, ATEX, IECEx, and DNV GL standards, it operates reliably between –25 °C and +60 °C and can be stored from –40 °C to +85 °C. Powering directly via the K-bus eliminates additional wiring, streamlining installation and reducing panel complexity. With its robust approvals, high accuracy, and fast conversion, the KL3464 enhances measurement reliability and efficiency in demanding industrial automation environments.
