The KL5001 from Beckhoff features a single encoder interface and supports differential RS422 signals. Part of the KL Analog Input Modules series, it operates on a 24 V DC power supply and offers data transfer rates up to 1 MHz. The terminal consumes typically 20 mA without an encoder and functions within a -25 to +60 °C temperature range.

It provides 500 V isolation between K-bus and field potentials and includes a 32-bit data input with optional 8-bit control/status. Storage temperature spans -40 to +85 °C. The compact module measures 12 mm wide, 100 mm high, and 68 mm deep.
