The Beckhoff KL5001-0001 from the KL Analog Input Modules series is a robust industrial encoder interface module featuring a single encoder interface channel. Powered by 24 V DC via power contacts, it achieves typical current consumption of 20 mA without encoder (20 mA + load when an encoder is attached) and draws 25 mA from the K-bus. The module supports differential RS422 signal input and output, variable data transfer rates up to 1 MHz (250 kHz default), and a 24-bit data width. With an IP20 rating, a process image bit width of 1 x 32-bit data plus optional 1 x 8-bit control/status, and an operating range of -25…+60°C (storage -40…+85°C), it offers reliable, precise performance in demanding automation environments.
