The Beckhoff KL5001-0018 module from the KL Analog Input Modules series features a single encoder interface and a 24 V DC via power contacts power supply, drawing typ. 20 mA without encoder and typ. 25 mA from the K-bus. It supports variable data transfer rates up to 1 MHz (250 kHz default) and a 24-bit serial input. Signal input and output utilize RS422 difference signals for robust noise immunity. The process image offers 1 x 32-bit data (with optional 1 x 8-bit control/status), and it operates reliably from -25 to +60 °C, storing at -40 to +85 °C, all within a compact ~60 g housing.
