The M-805-A-B3, produced by Kollmorgen, is a compact GOLDLINE brushless servo motor designed for efficient automation applications. With rare earth element alloys in the permanent magnets, it delivers impressive torque performance for its size. Specifically, this motor outputs a standstill torque between 78.6 N-m to 83.4 N-m depending on the ambient temperature, peaks at 232 N-m torque, and operates at a maximum speed of 1500 rpm. The motor's unique capabilities are enhanced when paired with Kollmorgen's SERVOSTAR digital amplifier, which features high protection against potential hazards and employs innovative control algorithms for optimal performance. For more precision-oriented settings, an incorporated encoder can replace the standard resolver for motor feedback. Properly ventilated environments optimize the M-805-A-B3's performance, due to a thermal resistance rating of 0.18 degrees Celsius per Watt when stalled. Built for a global market, this UL-recognized M-Series motor is ideal for handling large inertia mismatches or compliant loads.
