The M21NRXA-JDS-NS-02 is a top-tier hybrid stepper motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific, featuring their SIGMAX technology. This enhanced motor from their M series boasts capabilities of optimizing torque production and inhibiting magnetic flux leakage. The motor combines features of both permanent magnet motors and variable reluctance motors, with its rotor magnetized axially and stator energized electromagnetically. It possesses a uniquely encapsulated polymer stator and threaded insert end bells also made from polymer. The motor has a large shaft diameter, a NEMA 23, and a standard encoder from Agilent Technologies’ HEDS 5600 series. To ensure longevity and quality, it uses high-performance gearheads and its design incorporates oversized 30mm bearings. The design also allows for options to add a low inertia rotor or a solid rotor. The affordable motor has a Honed Stator ID and OD, providing a concentric air gap and efficient thermal dissipation via externally exposed lamination aids.
