The B & R Automation MCMHEH-0 power supply module is a compact yet robust component in the MCN Power Supply Modules series, designed and manufactured by B & R Automation for demanding industrial automation environments. The module supports a continuous current rating of 13.0 A at 25 °C and incorporates an input protection via an 8 A fuse. Constructed with a metal rack-mount chassis and an IP20 Protection Class, it meets stringent safety and durability requirements.
Performance characteristics of the MCMHEH-0 emphasize precision and reliability. Output ripple is limited to 25 mV RMS and line regulation is maintained at 0.20% under voltage fluctuations, while load regulation remains within 0.75% across varying loads. The unit incorporates current limiting protection set at 15.5 A and achieves a minimum operating efficiency of 85%, optimizing energy usage in continuous operation. Front-panel features include a three-digit LCD for real-time voltage and current display, an illuminated on/off toggle switch, and a display-mode selector. Connectivity is facilitated by rear screw terminal plugs supporting multiple independently fused output devices.
Reliability is ensured through rigorous design and compliance with international standards. The module holds Approvals: CE, UL, CSA and is certified to UL 94 V-0 Flammability Class. Critical components use Copper Alloy Contact Material with a Contact Resistance < 2 mΩ and Dielectric Strength ≥ 4 kV. The insulation system employs Polyamide (PA) material, compatible with Wire Gauge 16–12 AWG, and the device features six pins for robust connections. Operating across a wide temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C, this panel-mount unit integrates seamlessly into industrial control cabinets, making it ideal for factory automation, process control, and other high-availability applications.
