MDD025A-N-100-N2G-040GE1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2G-040GE1 servo unit is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is a motor for digital drive controllers and is intended for rapid positioning and speed control in compact automation assemblies. With its small 025 frame and A length code, the motor fits tight mechanical envelopes while interfacing directly with compatible drive modules. It is suited for rotating lightweight tooling, small indexing mechanisms, or feed spindles where high repeatability, low inertia, and quick response are required. Its compact format also helps in machines where mounting space is limited and fast acceleration is more important than high continuous torque.
The motor has a centering pilot diameter of 40 mm, allowing concentric seating against gearboxes or mounting flanges. During static holding, it provides 0.33 Nm of continuous torque at standstill under natural cooling. Under rated excitation, the rotor can reach 10000 rpm, supporting short cycle times in pick-and-place axes and other fast indexing tasks. A built-in brake provides 1.0 Nm of torque and maintains axis position when power is removed. A shaft seal is installed at the housing exit to help keep dust and spray away from the internal bearings.
Electrical and feedback terminations are routed to the left side of the frame and are provided on a connecting cable with a coupling unit, which helps in narrow cabinets because no fixed plug extends from the stator. Motion feedback is generated by resolver feedback, which supplies rotor position information for the velocity and position loops used by the drive. An integrated blocking brake supports load holding during idle periods and when power is removed. The motor also uses standard balancing, a plain shaft end without a side-B extension, and a sealed housing for high-speed operation with low vibration and stable running.
