MDD025A-N-100-N2G-040MR0
Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MDD025A-N-100-N2G-040MR0, a member of the MDD Synchronous Motors series developed for use with digital drive controllers in automated machinery. This compact servo motor converts electrical drive commands into rotary motion for positioning tasks, conveyors, and lightweight tooling axes where high speed and repeatability are required. Its standard housing, size 025 frame, and A length help it fit into tight machine layouts. When paired with a compatible controller, it supports repeatable start-stop motion and accurate speed regulation in compact automation equipment.
At the core of its operating range is a continuous standstill torque of 0.33 Nm, indicating how much constant load the rotor can hold without overheating. The shaft can reach a nominal speed of 10,000 rpm, supporting fast cycle times for small-inertia mechanisms. Mechanical mounting accuracy is supported by a centering diameter of 40 mm, and the rotor uses standard balancing to help limit vibration at top speed. Cables enter from the right side because the power and feedback connections are located there, and the electrical interface uses a connector for quick connection in modular production cells. This arrangement helps simplify cable routing on machines where the motor must be mounted close to guards, slides, or tooling plates.
Feedback for the drive controller is delivered by resolver feedback, which supplies rotor position information during rapid acceleration. The single-ended shaft uses a keyway to simplify torque transfer to pulleys or couplings. For installations where braking is handled elsewhere, the motor is supplied without a blocking brake, so static holding must be provided by the driven mechanism or by the control system. It is also built without a shaft seal, so external protection is needed if dust or fluids are present, and the shaft extends only on side A with no rear stub. This layout leaves the back of the motor clear and can help the unit fit more easily into compact assemblies.
