MDD025A-N-100-N2G-040MR1
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s MDD025A-N-100-N2G-040MR1 is a compact synchronous servo motor from the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for digital drive controllers and converts electrical power into controlled mechanical rotation for pick-and-place heads, light conveyors, and other precision automation tasks in industrial machinery. The motor is suited to applications that need quick response, stable torque control, and high rotational speed in a small installation space. Its compact format also helps when the moving axis must stay light and the available mounting area is limited.
The motor can maintain a continuous standstill torque of 0.33 Nm, so the axis can hold low-mass loads while energized. During normal operation, the rotor can reach a nominal speed of 10,000 rpm, which supports rapid cycle times in short-stroke positioning systems. Mechanical alignment is aided by a 40 mm centering diameter that helps seat the housing accurately on the mounting surface. Power and sensor cabling are routed through a rear-mounted connector, and the internal position loop is closed by resolver feedback, which provides rotor angle information across the full speed range. The right-side cable outlet helps reduce sharp cable bends when the motor is installed on compact machine frames.
The motor includes a blocking brake on the N side for holding duties when motion must stop safely after power is removed. This brake provides a static torque of 1.0 Nm, which is suitable for light holding tasks such as vertical-axis parking. The output shaft uses a keyway so torque can be transferred through standard keyed couplings without slip. The design is supplied without a shaft seal, which reduces friction and is appropriate for enclosed installations where dust and fluid exposure are already controlled by the machine. The standard housing finish, motor length code A, and size 025 keep the assembly compact so it can fit into tight machine spaces.
