MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FC1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FC1 belongs to the MDD Synchronous Motors series manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It is a small permanent-magnet motor intended to pair with digital drive controllers so that motion axes receive precise torque and speed commands. In automated test fixtures or miniature handling modules, the motor converts controller output into rotary movement that can be closely regulated, allowing repeatable positioning and short cycle times while occupying little cabinet or machine space.
The rotor is optimized for high-speed tasks, and its nominal speed reaches 10,000 rpm, giving fast indexing and reduced process time when paired with gear stages or direct-drive spindles. During standstill, it can apply a continuous torque of 0.33 Nm, which is sufficient to hold light loads without overheating. A blocking brake is fitted, and its dedicated brake circuit develops 1.0 Nm of static holding torque to prevent shaft movement during power-off states or emergency stops. For accurate electrical commutation and absolute position tracking, an integrated absolute encoder works together with resolver feedback. The controller receives both incremental and absolute data, so homing routines after shutdown are unnecessary.
Cabling exits on Side A, which simplifies routing in tight enclosures, and the flange uses a centering pilot held to 40 mm for concentric installation across the size 025 frame. The motor has a plain shaft that mates directly with clamp couplings or small pulleys, and the absence of a shaft extension on side B minimizes overhang. Because the design is supplied without shaft seal, the motor is intended for dry, clean areas where oil mist or coolant ingress is not expected. Applications that require additional protection at the machine interface need an external seal or bellows.
