MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FD1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FD1 is a synchronous servo motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use with digital drive controllers in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. Size code 025 and length code A give the unit a compact footprint for tightly spaced machine layouts. In automated equipment, the motor converts controlled electrical input into rotary motion for positioning axes, feed drives, and spindle-style duties that require fast speed changes and accurate command tracking. Its compact form also suits installations where moving assemblies must stay light and responsive.
A centering diameter of 40 mm aligns the motor accurately with the machine plate, and standard balancing helps limit residual vibration during high-speed operation. Power and feedback conductors exit on Side B and are prewired through a connecting cable with a coupling unit, which can simplify routing in confined cabinets. When energized, the rotor can deliver a continuous stall torque of 0.33 Nm and reach a top synchronous speed of 10000 rpm, allowing quick acceleration and rapid response to changing commands. Position information is supplied by an integrated absolute encoder, so the axis can report absolute position immediately after power-up without a homing cycle.
The motor includes a blocking brake rated at 1.0 Nm for static load holding when the controller is disabled. Motion signals can also be handled through the drive’s resolver feedback channel when analog rotor position information is preferred by the control setup. The output interface uses a plain shaft, and it is supplied without a shaft seal, so external protection is needed where fluids or heavy contamination are present. The housing is provided in the standard configuration, and the shaft-end design omits a second drive face to keep the overall length short for compact installations.
