MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FE1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FE1 is a compact AC synchronous motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for use with digital drive controllers and is suited for axes that require high rotational speed and repeatable positioning in packaging stations, pick-and-place gantries, and small conveyor drives. The motor uses an A-length frame with a size 025 stator and a standard housing, which keeps the footprint and mass low while maintaining standard balancing for high-speed operation. This type of motor is often used where fast cycle timing and compact axis design are both important.
The unit reaches a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, letting lightweight tooling run through short machine cycles. At standstill, it provides a continuous torque of 0.33 Nm, so low-speed feed motion and holding duty can be maintained without thermal overload. Accurate mechanical alignment is supported by a 40 mm centering diameter, and all power and feedback connections exit on the left side of the housing to suit tight layouts. Instead of fixed connectors, the motor uses a connecting cable with a coupling unit, which reduces strain at the connection point during installation. This cable arrangement also gives more flexibility when routing leads through crowded machine spaces.
An integrated blocking brake provides 1.0 Nm of holding torque, allowing a vertical axis to remain in position when power is removed. Real-time speed information is supplied by resolver feedback, while position data comes from an integrated absolute encoder, so the axis can start without a homing move. The motor uses a plain shaft without a keyway, which helps limit coupling runout in direct-drive arrangements. The shaft area is supplied without a shaft seal, and the motor has a standard shaft end on side A only. This layout is suited for dry, enclosed machine sections where external contamination is limited.
