MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FF1
The MDD025A-N-100-N2K-040FF1 is a compact synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MDD Synchronous Motors series. It is intended for use with digital drive controllers, where it serves as the rotary actuator on light-duty axes that require high speed and accurate positioning. The A-length housing uses the series standard construction, and rotor balancing follows the standard grade to help limit vibration at elevated speeds. By converting commanded current into mechanical rotation, the motor supports precise motion in automated assembly stations, electronics handling systems, and other compact automation equipment. Its compact envelope also suits machines where available installation space is limited.
The motor provides a continuous standstill torque of 0.33 Nm, allowing it to hold light loads at zero speed within its thermal limits. At rated frequency, the rotor reaches a nominal speed of 10000 rpm, which supports rapid indexing and short cycle times. A blocking brake is built in and applies 1.0 Nm of holding torque during power loss. Mechanical alignment to the machine is based on a 40 mm pilot diameter, and both power and feedback conductors exit on the right side to simplify cable routing in compact cabinets. Closed-loop operation uses resolver feedback, which supplies the drive with rotor position and speed-related information.
The motor is cabled through a connecting lead with an integral coupling unit, which keeps the electrical interface compact. Its shaft end follows the standard pattern without a side-B extension, helping preserve a short overall length. Torque is transmitted through a plain shaft, and the motor is supplied without a shaft seal. Because of that open shaft arrangement, it is better suited to clean, dry installations than to areas exposed to cutting fluids or washdown spray. This layout is useful on small pick-and-place modules and other fast-moving axes where compact motor length is important.
